      The well-appointed air-conditioned rooms and suites have a contemporary and stylish ambience that is wecloming and relaxing. Larger family groups or groups of friends can also choose to stay in one of the luxurious spacious villas at Pelican House, Turtle Cottage or Rock Cottage whilst The Cove features an exclusive collection of suites and penthouses perched on a bluff with stunning ocean views and an infinity pool reserved for Cove Suites guests to provide a perfect retreat for guests seeking to get away from the madding crowd.

      If you are seeking relax and unwind you can take your pick of the sun loungers on the picture-postcard beaches or if lounging by the pool is more to your taste, you’ll be pleased to know there are several to choose from including an exclusive yet picturesque adults-only pool located close to Pelican House, family friendly pools near to Veronica’s Bar and a beachfront pool which offers stunning views of the Caribbean Sea. Complimentary non-motorised water sports can be enjoyed on the calm waters of Soldiers Bay, with tuition provided for beginners. The resort also features a well-equipped gym, floodlit tennis court and an excellent Elemis spa. Families will love the safe sandy beaches as well as the complimentary Kids Club with its own charming “Secret Garden” and creche for younger children.

      When it comes to eating and drinking you will also not be disappointed. International cuisine as well as Caribbean inspired dishes are on offer in a choice of restaurants complimented by the exceptional choice of cocktails and drinks served in the bars from poolside to beach from morning til night.

Rooms sleep two adults and one child aged 6 to 11 years. Children under 6 are not permitted. Room size approx. 25-30m2.

      Deluxe Beachfront Room: Located just a short stroll from the beach with views of the Caribbean Sea these larger modern rooms have a bathroom with bath and shower and can sleep two adults and one child up to 11 years. Some rooms can be inter-connected with another Deluxe Beachfront room on request. Room size approx. 28-33m2.

      Hillside Junior Suite: Each ground floor suite has views of the gardens and partial sea views which can be enjoyed from the private patio. The rooms feature a spacious living area, bedroom and bathroom with walk-in shower and bath. The living area has a double pull-out bed or a rollaway can be provided on request. Rooms sleep three adults or two adults and two children aged 6-11 years. Children under 6 are not permitted. The suites can be interconnected with an adjoining Superior Hillside Room on request Room size approx. 47m2.

      Luxury Suite: A luxurious and elegant suite with stunning sea views, these suites provide a spacious private balcony and inside a living area and bedroom and bathroom with a Jacuzzi bath and separate shower. The living area is large enough to accommodate a queen size or rollaway bed on request. Rooms sleep three adults or two children up to 11 years. Room size approx. 60m2.

      Villas: Larger family groups or groups of friends will relish the luxurious villas of Pelican House, Rock Cottage and Turtle Cottage. Featuring spacious and stylish interiors, outdoor dining, large outdoor living areas and private pools there are endless locations inside and out in which guests can socialise or relax with their family and friends. Approx size: 102-390m2.

      Cove Suite: Situated away from the main resort on a breezy bluff overlooking the Caribben Sea, the modern and luxurious expansive Cove Suites boast uninterrupted sea views and enable guests to savour their privacy. The suites feature a spacious bedroom with an oversized bed, large bathroom and an open-plan living area and are located just a short stroll from the beach, within easy reach of the Cove restaurant. Room size approx. 67m2.

      Cove Penthouse: Situated on top of the Cove Suites with unparalleled views of the Caribbean Sea from their expansive private balconies (which span over 47m2) the Penthouses feature a separate living and dining area, kitchen and three bedrooms.       Blue Waters Kids Club – 4-12 years open Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday)

      Operated in conjunction with the World Wide Kids Company, the Blue Waters Kids Club is a complimentary club offering a wide range of activities in the dedicated club room and the “Secret Garden”. Activities include arts and crafts, football, tennis, cricket, jewellery design, ice-cream trips and team challenges.

      Places are limited so pre-booking of the kids club before arriving in resort is strongly recommended to avoid disappointment.

      Blue Waters Crèche – 14-47 months open Monday to Saturday (closed Sunday)

      Located next to the kids club, the crèche is operated with a strict ratio of 1 staff member to 3 children.

      Sessions cost 40USD per session or 70USD when taking both sessions per day (prices as of May 2016). Pre-booking is strongly recommended.

      Babysitting: Babysitting is available from childcare staff or staff trained by Worldwide Kids Club experts and is organised by the childcare coordinator in resort. Babysitting can be pre-booked or booked whilst in resort and is charged to the guest’s room and will be payable at the end of their holiday.

      Cost is 10.00 USD per hour per child (min 3hrs). 15.00 USD per hour for 2+ children (min 3hrs). For service after 11pm, the rate is increased by $5.00 USD per hour. There is a transportation cost of $20.00 USD which will be added to the bill when booking the babysitter. (Prices as of May 2016)

    • Restaurants: Guests at Blue Waters have a range of dining options that include the best international cuisine and Caribbean inspired dishes. Enjoy al fresco dining at The Palm Restaurant set amid the landscaped gardens overlooking the Caribbean Sea. The elegantly appointed Bartley’s restaurant (open two or three nights a week) provides an intimate setting for romantic dinners whilst the cliff top Cove Restaurant combines Caribbean and French cuisine in a stunning setting with breath-taking sea views. Included in the all-inclusive package, guests can also upgrade to the superior Connoisseurs Choice for a local supplement. The Pelican Bar has a relaxed atmosphere for daytime drinks and hosts steel bands and live music in the evenings. Veronica’s Bar by the main pool is a popular meeting place and plays host to the weekly manager’s cocktail party whilst Carolyn’s Beach bar provides a more rustic venue and serves a wide range of cocktails.

      Private Beach: The resort has three stunning beaches set in Soldier’s Bay and although beaches in Antigua are open to the public, the beaches feel so secluded you will feel as though you are on your own private island.

      Swimming Pools: Blue Waters boasts nine swimming pools including a secluded exclusive adults-only pool next to Pelican House, family friendly pools located by Veronica’s Bay and a beachfront pool with stunning views of the Caribbean. Cove Suite guests have the added benefit of exclusive use of the resort’s secluded infinity pools.

      Elemis Spa: The resort’s spa offers a wide range of pampering and rejuvenating treatments including facials and massages. Experience the Elemis Signature Massage or an Exotic Coconut Rub and Milk Wrap to relax and unwind during your stay. There is also a beauty salon providing hair and beauty treatments.

      Other Activities: Guests can enjoy a variety of non-motorised water sports including snorkelling, windsurfing and kayaking. Complimentary beginner lessons are available. Motorised water sports such as water skiing and jet skiing can be arranged on request. The resort also features a tennis court and a well-equipped gym.

      Golf: Tee off on Antigua’s only PGA-rated golf course, Cedar Valley Golf Club, an 18-hole par 69 course, located just three miles from Blue Waters Resort.

      Internet Access: All rooms and public areas have internet access.

    • The Capital City of St. John’s – Enjoy some great value duty-free shopping in the Heritage and Redcliff Quays area of St. John’s including wines, spirits, jewellery and perfume and visit the local market at the south end of town full of colourful fruits, vegetables, and spices, and people from all walks of life haggling for them. Visit the Museum of Antigua & Barbuda, housed in the old Court House which dates from 1750 and is the oldest building in Antigua. Exhibits include Antigua’s geological origins and political history, the culture of the Arawaks (with a life-sized house), and a model sugar plantation. The museum is also a good source of information on other historic sites dotted around the island.

      English Harbour & Nelson’s Dockyard – Antigua was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and was a British Colony up until its independence in 1981. As a result, it has an incredible history. English Harbour is one “must see” destination as it was Lord Horatio Nelson’s home for quite some time.

      Diving – Antigua and nearby Barbuda are great diving spots as there is little to no current and the water temperatures average 26C. Coral reefs, walls, and shipwrecks can be found in several areas surrounding the coasts. The Andes merchant ship in Deep Bay is a must for wreck divers.

      Cricket at the Sticky Wicket, Antigua Recreation Grounds or Sir Viv Richards Stadium – World-class cricket players and an electric atmosphere are just two of the reasons why a trip to one of Antigua’s cricket grounds is a must. Deep Sea Fishing – The Caribbean Sea is rich in all manner of exotic sea life. The tour desk at the resort can arrange deep sea fishing trips to suit all levels of fishing enthusiasts.

    • When to Travel

      With warm temperatures throughout the year the Caribbean is a perfect year round destination. The peak season runs from December through to April with an average of 9 hours sunshine per day. This is the dry season when you can expect very little rainfall. May to November are the slightly wetter months with an increase in rainfall and humidity as the summer season goes on, however the summer months are still a great time to travel as the temperatures are hot and the rain tends to come in short heavy bursts but not all day long. September and October are usually the wettest months with the most humidity and these are also the most probable months for hurricanes to occur in the region. The average daily temperatures range from approx. 25C in the winter to approx. 28C in the summer.

      Antigua Sailing Week Taking place from late April to early May, Antigua Sailing Week consists of intense yacht racing, music concerts and rum parties. Sailors, spectators and partygoers, from around the world visit Antigua to enjoy the racing atmosphere both on and off shore.

      Location & Directions

      Blue Waters enjoys a prime location in Soldiers Bay, an exclusive residential area on the north western corner of Antigua. Here guests can enjoy unrivalled privacy as well as easy access to Antigua’s many attractions. The resort’s bay provides calm waters for swimming and water sports whilst the resort’s west-facing orientation allows guests to enjoy the sun’s rays all day, as well as some of the Caribbean’s most breath-taking sunsets.

      How to get there: British Airways and Virgin Atlantic operate direct 9 hour flights from London Gatwick to V.C Bird International Airport in the North East of Antigua. Alternatively Thomas Cook Airlines fly from Manchester, UK on Thursdays from December to April. Blue Waters Resort is approximately 15 minutes by private car from V.C.Bird International airport.
