La Perla, Corvara

Dolomites, Italy
  • Unlike any other hotel you’ll find in northern Italy, La Perla provides the quiet ambience of a luxury, boutique hotel, but distinctly taps into the rustic, mountainside aura of its mountainside location. From its picture book-like fireside lounge to its ornate health and beauty spa, every room of this hotel has a story to tell. And while being a unique experience, La Perla still provides the comfort, fancy dining and slope proximity that one expects from a skiing resort.

    What to love

    What to know

    • Fantastic ski-in, ski-out location next to a lift
    • Each and every room at La Perla has a bespoke layout, but each has been designed with considerable care and attention – falling back on a distinctly Tyrolean aesthetic. So expect brushed, alpine woods; ornate furnishings and, of course, breathtaking mountain views.
    • The hotel’s health and beauty wellness centre is good for rejuvenating the body and soul. Whether you take a dip in the marble-clad pool, or leave yourself in the capable hands of the specialist masseuse, it makes for the perfect remedy to a day on the slopes.
    • If you’re looking for somewhere to enjoy an after dinner tipple and get chummy with some of the other guests at the hotel, you couldn’t picture a finer setting than the hotel’s fireside lounge, with its chimney fireplace, chandeliers and alpine flora.
    • Signor Ernesto Costa, the founder of La Perla, has gathered an impressive collection of antique motorcycles over the years. Guests can now visit his extensive collection in the hotel’s Motor Museum.
    • La Perla is a hotel with strong links to its past, demonstrated in its maintaining of ‘the old house’. The small Ladin house has stood since the 1400s and is opened to the public during the summer months.
    • Between the enchanting breakfast room, the exhilarating bar area and the hotel’s selection of restaurants serving a variety of culinary styles, there’s no chance of guests of La Perla going hungry.
    • If you find yourself yearning for a spot of soul-searching during your stay, La Perla’s veranda is where you’ll want to find yourself. Tucked away in a corner of the hotel, guests can tuck into a book while enjoying the room’s antique, larch wood décor.
