AlmyraPaphos / Cyprus

Forty years on and the Almyra is a luxurious, contemporary beachfront resort: home to lush, landscaped gardens; sophisticated dining venues and modern fitted suites, which overlook the exceptional ocean views.

The sleek Almyra provides a stylish and elegant hideaway in the heart of one of Cyprus’s most celebrated coastal towns, Paphos. The hotel’s large, yawning windows, refined stone-tile flooring and never-ending infinity pools contrast elegantly against the resort’s eight acres of tropical, landscaped gardens.
The Almyra is residence to 189 extended sea and garden-view rooms and suites. Each room features a contemporary design created using cool, soothing tones, with plenty of light emerging through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. The lavish, marble bathrooms are completed with a stone bowl basin and large bathtub. An open-air balcony overlooks the gardens and Mediterranean Sea; perfect for a light breakfast or pre-dinner aperitif.
Voted “Favourite Spa in Cyprus 2012” by Spa Finder’s Readers, the Almyraspa offers the perfect escape for guests to enjoy a detoxifying afternoon. Surrounded by ocean views, this health centre has six treatment rooms and three spa suites, and offers an eclectic range of organic and marine-based therapies. The wellbeing area is completed with an indoor pool, an outdoor infinity pool, yoga deck, saunas, steam rooms and Vichy showers. Almyraspa also has a fitness gym, hair salon, tennis courts, and the Eauzon restaurant, serving a mix of healthy snacks and therapeutic tonics and teas.
Fans of fine foods will love the selection on offer in Almyra’s gastronomic restaurants. Mosaics, the resort’s main restaurant serves International buffets, with traditional Cypriot, seafood medleys and Asian-Pacific themes being select examples. The resort is also home to the highly refined Helios lounge bar, serving a selection of world beers and fresh fruit cocktails.
When to Travel:
Cyprus offers a pleasant year round temperature making it an ideal holiday spot in both summer and winter. June to August sees Paphos receiving around 13 hours of 32°C sunshine, but in late July and early August temperatures can often be in the high 30's. These are popular months for families to travel to Cyprus but can get very hot. These summer temperatures make the Paphos beaches good for sunbathing, and the sea is warm enough for all day swimming and watersports. In September and October the temperatures are still around the 30°C mark and give around nine hours of sunshine per day.
Temperatures are a little cooler through the winter months and the chance of rain does increase a little. December to February sees temperatures of around 18°C when there is around five hours of sunshine per day. An April Easter break in Paphos will see you topping up a tan with eight hours of sunshine per day and temperatures hitting 24°C.
