Held in high regard around the skiing world, the celebrated Verbier resort lies in southwestern Switzerland and is part of one of the largest skiing areas in the Swiss Alps. Located half way up the impressive Mont Fort, Verbier offers those visiting fabulous skiing opportunities; in addition to access to the vast Four Valleys ski area.

It’s the history of this enchanting resort that inspired local architects when designing La Cordee des Alpes - and it resonates throughout the hotel. Step into the foyer and you’re immediately greeted by vintage wooden skis and leather boots adorning the walls, whilst old skiing footage is played throughout the hotel reception and bar lounge screens.

The hotel interior has been crafted using the finest local materials to create a design that combines the flavours of modern Swiss chic with a tasteful vintage ski lodge essence. This attention to detail continues throughout La Cordee des Alpes’ luxury rooms and suites. Each features a crisp, alpine inspired décor with high ceilings, timber paneling and elegant furnishings. Keen to offer a superior service, each room features state of the art amenities such as a flat screen television, on demand video service, Wi-Fi and ipads.

Whether you’ve finished skiing for the day, or just fancy enjoying some time off piste, La Cordee des Alpes has a myriad of luxury facilities. The high tech gym caters for different styles of workout with its pilates area, fitness equipment, sauna and alpine steam room. The in-house treatment rooms also offer special therapies such as facials and hot stone massages.

The hotel’s gastronomic restaurant serves gourmet dishes cooked with locally sourced ingredients night and day, or alternatively, an in-room dining menu is available for tired guests. Sipping cocktails in the stylish lounge bar makes for the perfect way to spend the long wintry evenings, or there is the hotel’s large, heated indoor pool, which is just as good for unwinding before bed.
