Fly to Lima

Depart the UK for a direct flight to Lima where you will stay for one night at Innside Miraflores Hotel and enjoy a swim in the rooftop pool or trying a Pisco Sour or other cocktails at the rooftop bar.

Puerto Maldonado

Fly to Puerto Maldonado and take a scenic boat ride to the remote Hacienda Concepcion Lodge where you will stay for 3 nights deep within the heart of the Amazon. The Eco-Lodge is located between the Tambopata National Reserve and the shores of the Madre de Dios River, nestled within more than 2,000 acres of lush rainforest home to rich ecosystems, tropical plants and wildlife. Enjoy an authentic jungle experience observing giant river otters, blue and yellow macaws, dusky titi monkeys, agoutis, two-toed sloth, peccaries prehistoric-looking hoatzins and black caimans among others. Many activities are included such as canoeing on Lake Sandoval, canopy walkways, learning about community projects, visiting a farm, twilight river trips by motorised canoe, trails to explore by day and night, fishing ‘native style’ and chocolate making.

The Sacred Valley

Return by boat to Puerto Maldonado and fly to Cusco, travelling on to the Sacred Valley where you will stay for two nights at Hotel Casa Andina Premium Valle Sagrado and enjoy a privileged location with fabulous views of the Andes from every room. Spend your days visiting ancient Inca sites and vibrant Andean villages, admiring the architecture and the hustle & bustle of the markets at Ollantaytambo and Chinchero. Ziplining & Via Ferrata is recommended and horse riding and bike riding and white water rafting excursions are a great way to explore the rolling landscapes. Electric bikes can take the strain if preferred!

Machu Picchu & Agua Calientes

From the Sacred Valley you will be transferred by road and rail for a visit to the ruins at Machu Picchu. Shrouded by mist and surrounded by lush vegetation and steep escarpments, the sprawling Inca citadel of Machu Picchu lives up to every expectation - it is a magical sight to behold. Explore this archaeological site with a knowledgeable guide, learning about the life and culture of the Incas. For the best views of Machu Picchu you can hike up Huayna Picchu or you may prefer to relax in the Hot Springs in Aguas Calientes, just below. Stay at Hotel El Mapi for one night in Aguas Calientes.

Cusco

Catch the train to Cusco where it is time to explore the ancient city! Once capital of the Inca Empire, it’s now a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its archaeological remains and Spanish colonial architecture. Enjoy the views of charming terracotta rooftops and attractive winding streets as well as the lively markets. A guided tour will show you the main sites as well as the ruins near Cusco, such as Sacsayhuaman Fortress, the red Fort Puca Pucara, Qenko Amphitheatre and the Inca baths. This is the perfect place to learn more about the Inca culture. White water rafting and horse riding excursions are recommended for a culture-break! Stay in Hotel Casa Andina Premium Cusco for 2 nights.

Puno & Lake Titicaca

Enjoy some stunning scenery crossing the Andes on a luxurious train to Puno and stay for 2 nights at Hotel Casa Andina Premium Puno overlooking Lake Titicaca, the world’s highest navigable lake. Visit the floating reed islands of the Uros Indians and the island of Taquile and learning about the radiation and daily life of the Uros people.

Colca Canyon

From here you will be driven to the spectacular Colca Canyon, passing snow-capped mountains, lush terraced valleys and Indian villages. From nearby Condor Cross, you can watch condors soar gracefully through the air which is a real highlight of a visit to the region. Stay for 2 nights at Colca Lodge Spa and Hot Springs and enjoy relaxing in four different thermal pools as well as breathtaking views over the canyon, which is deeper in parts than the Grand Canyon

Arequipa & depart for UK

Drive to the volcanic city of Arequipa and tour the beautiful “White City”, so named because of the dazzling sillar stone which was used to build much of the city. Fly to Lima for an evening flight departing for the UK.
