Description

Surrounded by six acres of rich, exotic landscaped gardens, the five star Annabelle overlooks the Mediterranean seafront and sits at the heart of one of Cyprus’s thriving coastal towns, Paphos. A resort perfect for every member of the family, guests can choose to relax by the freeform swimming pools and palm trees or explore Paphos’s medieval castle and harbour when the desire for adventure strikes.

Annabelle’s accommodation has been designed with an understated Grecian temperament, achieved by neutral tones; cool, marble floors and large French door windows that open out towards the spectacular ocean and garden views. Each room is fitted with an opulent, marble bathroom and features a private balcony or terrace – allowing guests to make the most of the all-year-round mild temperatures. Larger room options also feature private plunge pools, Jacuzzis and working fireplaces.

The resort has four gastronomic restaurants, each preparing Mediterranean specialties using locally sourced produce. Amoras is Annabelle’s signature fine-dining restaurant, with al fresco dining in the summer months. Asteras offers candlelit dining overlooking the resort’s illuminated water gardens. Mediterraneo serves light dishes in a beachfront setting. While Fontana serves themed buffet breakfasts and lunches on a large terrace.

Annabelle is also home to a vibrant mixture of evening entertainment venues. Ranging from the sophisticated Byzantine bar, serving champagne aperitifs, to the chilled out Beach bar, serving light beers and cocktails by the sea.

For those keen to stay in shape during their stay, the Annabelle health centre has a fully equipped gym, a full-size squash court, sauna and steam room. Guests are also permitted full use of the neighbouring Almyra hotel’s spa centre, which offers a wide array of therapies, treatments and a massage service.

When to Travel

Cyprus offers a pleasant year round temperature making it an ideal holiday spot in both summer and winter. June to August sees Paphos receiving around 13 hours of 32°C sunshine, but in late July and early August temperatures can often be in the high 30's. These are popular months for families to travel to Cyprus but can get very hot. These summer temperatures make the Paphos beaches good for sunbathing, and the sea is warm enough for all day swimming and water sports. In September and October the temperatures are still around the 30°C mark and give around nine hours of sunshine per day.

Temperatures are a little cooler through the winter months and the chance of rain does increase a little. December to February sees temperatures of around 18°C when there is around five hours of sunshine per day. An April Easter break in Paphos will see you topping up a tan with eight hours of sunshine per day and temperatures hitting 24°C.

Best time to visit:   May, June, September and October

Good time to visit: Rest of the year.
