When to Travel
Cyprus offers a pleasant year round temperature making it an ideal holiday spot in both summer and winter. June to August sees Paphos receiving around 13 hours of 32°C sunshine, but in late July and early August temperatures can often be in the high 30's. These are popular months for families to travel to Cyprus but can get very hot. These summer temperatures make the Paphos beaches good for sunbathing, and the sea is warm enough for all day swimming and water sports. In September and October the temperatures are still around the 30°C mark and give around nine hours of sunshine per day.
Temperatures are a little cooler through the winter months and the chance of rain does increase a little. December to February sees temperatures of around 18°C when there is around five hours of sunshine per day. An April Easter break in Paphos will see you topping up a tan with eight hours of sunshine per day and temperatures hitting 24°C.
