Description

When you talk about location, you’d be hard pressed to find somewhere better than Aphrodite Hills. Surrounded by spectacular nature trails, walks and mountain bike paths just waiting to be explored, you can choose to do so by foot, bike or Segway which are available to hire at the Village Square. If you prefer the beach it is just a short drive away and an hourly shuttle runs from the resort to the resort's private Beach Club. Here you can escape to the gorgeous child-friendly sandy/shingle beach, which offers sun loungers, towels and umbrellas for guests.

When it comes to evening meals, there is a choice of over 16 restaurants and bars on site ensuring you find something you fancy and meaning you aren’t restricted to just one restaurant for the duration of your holiday. Each has its own particular style and all offer a high standard of food. If you’re choosing Aphrodite Hills to celebrate a special occasion, why not look into the romantic private dining experiences?

The Village Square recreates a traditional Cypriot meeting place where locals gather to shop, chat and relax. Its location in the heart of the resort offers an unhurried spot for a drink or some shopping. If sport is more your thing then you won’t be bored on this holiday! Try your hand at golf with a PGA qualified professional instructor or take your racket onto one of the 9 floodlit tennis courts.

For children there is the Pirate’s Village Kids Club, which offers both indoor and outdoor activities including sports and crafts and is complimentary for guests of the Intercontinental Hotel.  There is also a crèche and babysitting available as well as the Grotto Fun Club for teenagers.

Indulge your mind, body & spirit with a treatment at The Retreat Spa. Ease away the stresses and strains of everyday life as you relax in the tranquil surroundings. You will be spoilt for choice with the range of facilities including a Greco-Roman thermae heated room and outdoor sun deck.

There are 290 rooms and suites at the Intercontinental hotel and a multitude of villas and apartments elsewhere in the resort, all elegantly decorated with a contemporary feel. Decorative inspiration comes from the Cyprus sun and is prominent through the orange, red and gold tones.

When to travel:

With its Mediterranean climate, there isn’t really a bad time to visit Cyprus. Summers are long and hot and can get crowded with tourists particularly in August. You’ll find the sea pleasant to swim in from April – November and whilst there is rainfall in winter, there isn’t much outside of that season.

During the first week of September, the annual wine festival takes place in Limassol giving visitors the opportunity to taste local Cypriot wines whilst enjoying some live music.

Best times to visit: March – October
Average times to visit: November - February

Location

Located just 11 miles (15-20 minutes) from Paphos International airport and 70 miles from Larnaca International airport. Transfers or car rental can be arranged from either airport.
