What to love

  • Borgo Egnazia’s bar, Bar del Portico, is the perfect spot to sit and relax pre or post dinner. Designed with polished stone floors and an open fireplace, bar staff serve sophisticated cocktails, as well as an extensive list of wines and liquors.
  •  The Vair Spa has won several spa awards and has been designed for the sole purpose of pampering. Professionally trained staff offer a range of natural therapies and treatments in a tranquil environment.
  •  If you fancy taking a dip in the pool, or rather just lounging by it, Borgo Egnazia has you covered. There are three outdoor pools, including one with a kids’ section. There is also a covered indoor pool in the fitness centre.
  •  Situated adjacent to the Adriatic Sea, Borgo Egnazia has its own private stretch of rocky beach, Cala Masciola, located just a short walk away. A second beach, La Fonte, can be reached via 5 minute shuttle service.

  • Borgo Egnazia offers three different types of accommodation. La Corte is the hotel’s central building with luxury suites. Il Borgo features stylish apartments. While Le Ville is home to stylish villas.
  • The hotel has won awards for its family facilities. Providing a number of services for families with young children, such as highchairs, sterilisers and bottle warmers. A nursery and children’s restaurant (da Puccetta) are also available on site.

Borgo Egnazia’s accommodation is split into three different sections. La Corte is the hotel’s main building, providing elegantly furnished rooms and suites, each with a crisp décor, chic furnishings and modern fittings. Alternatively, Il Borgo is a unique village of apartments – complete with its own central piazza. Guests staying at this charming hub will enjoy a spacious, refined apartment, perfect for smaller groups or families. Finally,  ‘Le Ville’, houses a collection of luxury villas which offer private comfort on an exceptional scale. Each three-storey townhouse is made up of 3 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, two living areas, kitchen and outdoor area complete with private pool.

Guests of all Borgo Egnazia’s accommodation are permitted the use of the first-class facilities and activities located around the complex, including three outdoor pools, a state-of-the-art fitness suite (complete with indoor pool) and tennis courts. Once the day has drawn to an end, Borgo Egnazia’s exclusive restaurant, Due Camini, offers a special menu bursting with the region’s signature flavours. With freshly-caught fish, locally-sourced vegetables and rich Mediterranean tastes all playing a part in the exciting menu.

When to Travel

Puglia enjoys a mild climate and is a region that can be enjoyed year round however June and September are particularly good months to visit.  April, May and October are generally warm and sunny with occasional showers and the evenings can sometimes be cool. From June to August the days are long and hot and sunny with warm evenings although in July and August it can sometimes feel a little humid. September tends to be warm and sunny. There is usually little rain from June to September although there can be occasional showers at any time.

Puglia is famous for its fresh produce and delicious food and there are food fairs and festivals throughout the year, reaching a peak during July and August. Dating back to the days when farmers would gather to buy and sell produce, today’s celebrations are decided on tradition, what is in season and what a town may wish to celebrate!

Location

Borgo Egnazia is in the heart of Puglia, about five minutes from the traditional fishing town of Savelletri di Fasano on the Adriatic coast and is an ideal base from which to explore this unspoiled region of Italy. The resort is approximately 50 kilometres and 50 minutes drive from both Brindisi and Bari airports.
