The five a la carte restaurants provide a sumptuous array of choice of menu with three restaurants located on the resort’s main beach overlooking the sea. There are also six bars to choose from including the award-winning Zuma bar and lounge on the ground floor boasting magnificent views and DJ performances. Fine wines and whiskey can be sampled at El Vino or party the night away at the Coliseum bar on the Peninsular.
There is a host of activities on offer including a superb gym, jogging tracks, tennis with optional coaching and a wide range of watersports including waterskiing and wake boarding and sailing, windsurfing and catamaran sailing operated in conjunction with the international sailing school.
When to travel
The hotel is open for the summer season from the end of April to end October. Warm, long sunny days can be enjoyed from the end April to mid June when the temperature is moderate. From late June to early September the weather can be very hot. From mid September throughout October the weather is mild and pleasant, although the days are slightly shorter the sea is still warm and the resorts are often quieter.
There are a number of festivals throughout the year in the Datca area. In August there is the Almond Festival whilst in September there is a festival dedicated to the life and works of the famous local poet Can Yucel with readings and lectures. There is also a Kite Festival in Resadiye, usually held in April.

The hotel is approx. 35km from the city of Marmaris and 36km from the mountain village of Bayr, famous for its ancient plane tree.
The resort is approx. 130km (1 hour 45 mins) from Dalaman International Airport or 155km (2hrs 30 mins) from Bodrum International Airport. The hotel also offers private helicopter transfers from both airports which take approx. 25 minutes.
The D Maris Bay is an excellent choice for families.
There is a brand-new Kids Club open from 9 am to 6 pm for children aged 4 to 12 years. From June 15 to September 15, the Kids Club is also open in the evening, from 8 pm to 11 pm. Supervised by instructors, children can indulge in a range of activities: creative workshops (painting of objects, t-shirts etc.), table tennis, air hockey, fishing, canyoning.
The club room is equipped with video games, kids & teenage films, air-hockey, table tennis and games including scrabble, monopoly and backgammon etc. Various workshops such as t-shirt printing, painting and gift making are also organised by the club as well as activities such as fishing, canoeing, mountain biking, tennis and water sports including diving courses.
Teenagers can enjoy a range of supervised activities in their own club.
The hotel provides parents with a wide range of baby equipment: cots, bathrobes, slippers, bath toys, baby-phone, bottle warmer, sterilizers.

Swimming Pools: The hotel has an indoor pool, a vitality pool and an outdoor pool.
Please note that two of the five beaches are only available for children aged 12 years and over.
Watersports: D Maris Bay is the ultimate location for water sport enthusiasts. Unique bay offers the best water sport facilities in the area with a water skiing and wake boarding centre offering courses from beginner to expert.
The other side of the peninsula offers wind and waves perfect for sailing, catamaran sailing and windsurfing operated in conjunction with an international sailing school. The resort also has a dive centre offering PADI courses and diving and snorkeling excursions. The resort also has a choice of yachts available for charter.
Aqua Dream Water Park is a 40-minute drive away.
Knidos: The ancient settlement of Knidos is one of the most amazing historical places in the area. Knidos was a highly developed city in terms of science, architecture and art in ancient times and is the home of the temple of Apollon.
Bayr: 36km from D Maris Bay is the mountain village of Bayr famous for its ancient plane tree said to be 2300-2500 years old. Local folklore says that walking around the tree three times can extend one’s life. Bayır is also located on the ancient city of Syrna. The acropolis is located about a half-hour's walk from the village, remnants of the city walls and some grave stone and structures can be seen along the way.
Old Datca: Explore the old town of Datca with its cobbled streets and traditional old stone houses, arts and craft shops, tavernas and tea houses.
Guided Kayak and Mountain Bike Tours: At the intersection of the Aegean and Mediterranean guests can explore the hidden bays on a guided kayak tour. Alternatively, adrenalin seekers can try a guided mountain bike tour of the stunning Datca Peninsula.
