Daios Cove is a superb family, friendly resort with great children’s facilities. There is the Crèche Club (4 months - 4 years) and the children’s club (4 to 12 years) run by qualified, multilingual staff and there are also fun activities organised for teenagers. Families will enjoy the children’s pool and the sandy, child friendly beach as well as special children’s menus and babysitting options.
The resort’s wellness centre is equipped with the height of spa treatment facilities. Designed with two exclusive spa suites, a Finnish sauna, hydro-massage and Thai massage studio, as well as an indoor infinity pool with breathtaking sea views, it provides the perfect environment to relax. When to travel:
The climate of Crete is a temperate Mediterranean climate with dry summers and mild winters. It is warm and sunny for the majority of the year with the weather generally settled from April/May onwards but it can sometimes be cool in the evenings. By mid/end of May, the weather settles in a pattern of long hot sunny days and balmy evenings especially in July and August when it can be very hot.
Rain is unlikely but it can happen from time to time. Spring and autumn are the best times to visit Crete with May, June, September and October being particularly pleasurable months.
Daios Cove is nested on a hillside overlooking its private tranquil bay and sandy beach in the North-East of Crete. It is 10 minutes south of Agios Nikolaos, 20 minutes from the village of Elounda and less than an hour by private transfer from Heraklion International Airport.
Daios Cove is well-geared up for families, with a child-friendly beach, pool games in the children's pool, special children’s menus, 24 hour medical care, high chairs in all restaurants and a Crèche, Children's Club and organised Teens' activities.

Crèche Club: Babies and toddlers are supervised in the Crèche Club by UK childcare experts Worldwide Kids Co, with qualified nursery staff meeting UK standards and regulations. The crèche runs sessions from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm and is closed on Wednesdays.
Children's Club: Older children (4 to 11 years) can check in for fun at the complimentary and well-equipped Children’s Club where friendly, highly trained multilingual staff will make them feel at home and provide games and activities.The children's club is open from 10am to 1pm and 3pm to 6pm and is closed on Wednesdays. There is also a supervised supper for children from 6pm to 7pm every day apart from Wednesday.
Babysitting: Babysitting is available on request. It is €10 per hour for 1 child, €14 per hour for 2 children and €15 per hour for 3 children. Please note that there is an additional €15 if the session ends after 23:00 to cover the cost of a taxi home.
