Description
A pristine combination of stylish design and thoughtful functionality, Hotel Portetta makes a wonderful addition to the popular Courchevel 1650. Sitting on the resort’s nursery slopes and just an 80 metre walk to the nearest lift, the hotel could not be better situated for guests eager to take to the slopes, particularly those with fledgling skiers within their group.
Refurbished in 2008, the hotel’s rooms provide a cool and calming sanctuary after a long day out on the piste. Elegantly furnished with plush seating, soft bedding and rustic timber paneling, guests have the choice of a south facing room with views of the impressive Courchevel slopes, or of a room with a slightly more tranquil atmosphere, looking out across the snowy valleys. The Portetta has a particularly family friendly environment, and each room type is available in a slightly larger variation to accommodate for children.
Hotel Portetta also has six luxury apartments known as The Lofts. Situated on the top two floors of the hotel, these lavish, self-catered suites offer unprecedented views of the Courchevel 1650 resort and are ideal for larger groups or families. Individually styled, these apartments come fully equipped and feature an open plan living area with fireplace, kitchenette, dining area, bedrooms and deluxe bathrooms. Guests staying in The Lofts are also permitted full access to the hotel’s facilities, including restaurant services.
The Portetta provides some of the finest and most innovative après-ski entertainment in all of Courchevel. The hotel’s Cucina Angelina restaurant serves an excellent cuisine conceived by the reknowned Angelina Hartnett. The Brasserie is designed for informal dining anytime of day, which is always a real treat out on one of Courchevel’s largest outdoor terraces. The hotel’s friendly bar also serves cocktails and vintage wine throughout the evenings.
During your stay, be sure to visit the hotel’s innovative Fire and Ice bar. Distinguishable by its flame torches, large heated seating area and fur snuggle bags, it serves specially cooked pizza from its wood fired oven. With its ski-in ski-out design, it’s available for skiers at anytime of day.
Guests of the Portetta are also granted full access to the state of the art Technogym as well as the exclusive Herb House spa area providing treatments, hammam and sauna facilities.
