Sugar Beach is a family-friendly resort with a wealth of activities for children and teens to experience.
Sugar Club Kids Club: 4-12 years open daily, free of charge
Activities include treasure hunts, arts and crafts, archery, coconut bowling, fish feeding and sand castle building. Off-site activities include glass bottom boat trips or a visit to the volcano.
Spice Club Teen Activities:
Teens and tweens can join in a dedicated programme which offers older children activities such as table tennis, croquet, billiard tournaments, pinball machines and video games. Outdoor activities include kayaking, paddle boarding and tennis. A favourite activity is the Sailing Club where teens learn the basics of sailing including rigging, parts of the boat, basic boat handling and seamanship on the resort’s fleet of 3.5m laser Pico sailing boats. The emphasis of the 5-6 day programme is for the participants to gain on the water experience within the protected waters of the Anse des Pitons while learning important sailing theory.
Babysitting: Available on request for an additional charge. Advance reservation is required. There is also an additional charge to transfer the baby sitting to and from the resort.

Swimming Pools: There is a large outdoor pool and each room or villa has a private pool (plunge pool to larger pool).
PADI Dive Centre: Sugar Beach has gained international recognition for its spectacular location and excellent diving conditions by being within a marine protected area, drawing scuba and water sports enthusiasts from around the world. The PADI Dive Centre a is just feet away from the crystal waters of Anse des Pitons and the protected underwater park and National Marine Reserve with an abundance and diversity of marine life.
Watersports: There is a wide range of complimentary watersports at the pavilion near the jetty including windsurfing, sailing, kayaking, Hobie cats, pedaloes, snorkelling (a minimal Marine Park fee is payable to the Soufriere Marine Management Area to support reef conservation) and paddle boards. Staff are on hand to provide sailing and windsurfing tuition (local charge applies).
Other Activities: If you are looking for activities away from the water then Sugar Beach, A Viceroy Resort offers plenty of land based activities. There are two floodlit tennis courts and the services of a tennis pro for private lessons, pool table, beach volleyball, jogging and walking, table tennis a large well equipped gym and fitness classes.
Morne Coubaril Estate: Visit the 18th Century Morne Coubaril Estate to discover how the island’s first settlers lived. See coconut bering pressed into copra, cocoa beans into cocoa sticks and how sugar cane was processed in the sugar mill. Walk through the mini herb garden and learn about their medicinal qualities.
Enjoy a kayak trip to the Coral Garden Reef: Kayak to the base of Gros Piton and see the amazing landscape above and below the water. Enjoy superb snorkeling and the chance to see unusual Sargassum trigger fish.
Hike up the Gros Piton: For breathtaking views of the Petit Piton, St Vincent and the south of the island a hike up the Gros Piton is not to be missed. After the strenuous three hour hike, enjoy a dip in the Caribbean Sea followed by a specialist barbecue prepared by a local chef.
Embark on a culinary adventure of a lifetime with the resort’s chef: Visit the farms where he chooses his organic produce and make your own selection of herbs, vegetables and crispy greens. Then head to the fish market before returning to the resort for a cooking lesson. Dive into the crystal clear waters of Anse des Pitons and the protected underwater park and National Marine Reserve that stretch along the base of the Petit Piton to the north and the Gros Piton to the south.
